The Lodge and Gardens are located a mile from the sea in delightful countryside, overlooking the conservation villages of Duirinish and Drumbuie. 'Duirinish' is an ancient Norse name meaning 'headland of the deer'. The location is 2 miles from Plockton, an exceptionally picturesque fishing village. There are spectacular views over the sea to Skye, the Isle of Raasay, Applecross and Torridon.

The Lodge is a private house built in 1936, which has been completely renovated and refurbished to a high standard over the past few years. The 6.0 hectares (18 acres) of private woodland and gardens are being restored to reveal the 40 varieties of rhododendron and 60 of azalea at their best. The woodland gardens are available for your enjoyment.

The Guest Wing of the Lodge is let as self-catering accommodation on a weekly basis throughout the year. It is furnished, equipped and managed to a high 4-star standard (certified by the Scottish Tourist Board). Lettings start on Saturdays at 15.00 (3pm) and conclude on Saturdays at 10.00 (10am). The Guest Wing is self-contained, and offers a special combination of traditional charm and state-of-the-art amenities. Children are, of course, most welcome, whatever their age. Dogs can be accommodated, subject to advance notice.
