The Lodge and Gardens are located a mile from the sea in delightful countryside, overlooking the conservation villages of Duirinish and Drumbuie. 'Duirinish' is an ancient Norse name meaning 'headland of the deer'. The location is 2 miles from Plockton, an exceptionally picturesque fishing village. There are spectacular views over the sea to Skye, the Isle of Raasay, Applecross and Torridon.
The Guest Wing of the Lodge is let as self-catering accommodation on a weekly basis throughout the year. It is furnished, equipped and managed to a high 4-star standard (certified by the Scottish Tourist Board). Lettings start on Saturdays at 15.00 (3pm) and conclude on Saturdays at 10.00 (10am). The Guest Wing is self-contained, and offers a special combination of traditional charm and state-of-the-art amenities. Children are, of course, most welcome, whatever their age. Dogs can be accommodated, subject to advance notice.
The property is equipped with oil-fired central heating and hot water, which you can self-manage through an electronic control panel. There is a pay-phone.
All-cotton bedding is provided, including feather-filled pillows and duvets. Non-feather pillows are also available. Towels and kitchen linen are also supplied. For reasons of safety, health and comfort, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the property.
